Yerevan is the capital of Armenia and one of the oldest cities in the world. The city has a rich history and culture and is full of attractions, museums and art galleries. Some of the main attractions include the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, the Cascade, the National Museum of Armenia and the Tsitsernakaberd Museum and Monument.

The city is also known for its culinary specialties such as lavash (thin flatbread), khorovats (grilled meat) and dolma (stuffed vegetables). There are many restaurants in the city that serve these dishes.

Yerevan is also a great place for hiking and cycling. Mount Ararat provides a stunning backdrop for hiking in the area. There are also many cycle paths in the city and surrounding areas.

Some famous people from Yerevan include writer William Saroyan, composer Aram Khachaturian and chess player Tigran Petrosian.

Here is a poem about Yerevan:

Yerevan, City of Light, Where history and culture meet, The cascade rises majestically, And the Matenadaran preserves ancient writings.

The food is delicious, lavash, khorovats and dolma, and the mountains call for hiking, in this beautiful city at the foot of Ararat.
